TURN UP
Open Exhibition of Bradford Art and Photography

We are delighted to present our FOURTH annual Open Exhibition, Turn Up. It is being held at our gallery on Kirkgate in Bradford City centre in the run up to Christmas to compliment the Turner Prize on show at Cartwright Hall and Our Turn, Bradford’s Visual Arts festival which are both taking place at the same time.

The exhibition brings together 140 artworks by over 80 artists and photographers from across the Bradford district with a whole variety of art forms, including drawing, painting, photography, textiles, crafts, 3D and video.

The artwork has been selected from all the creative work submitted to the Online Gallery on Trapezium’s website. People were asked to send their creative endeavours and then these were uploaded to virtual galleries, available for all to view all year round.

Lauren Kelly, who curates the Online Gallery at Trapezium Arts says, “The response to our call out has been amazing. Every year more and more people submit work, with a huge range of work from traditional landscapes to digital collage; and from artists of different backgrounds and of all ages. We have welcomed work from professional artists and enthusiastic beginners alike, showing what a wealth of talent exists in our district.”

Admission to the exhibition is free and much of the artwork is for sale from the artists.

Open Galleries

Seeds is an online gallery with images planted there for Bradford's Artists, Photographers and other Creatives to use and reinterpret in their own way, creating something new that draws on the existing work.

These new artworks can then be submitted to the growing Seeds gallery, branching out to reseed new and inspiring works of art.
