Saturday 8th Sept : Lino and Stencil (Pochoir) Printing Workshop
Stencil (Pochoir) Printing: Bubble Up themed stencils were provided from which diverse textures could be obtained using different ink application techniques, such as brushing, paint roller, spattering or sponging.
Participants could use either process or a combination to create quick and fun layered prints in a variety of colours.
Sunday 9th Sept : Cyanotype and Paper Marbling Workshop
Cyanotype Printing: A quick photographic way of printing from found objects and drawings. After a few minutes exposure to light, the print is washed out in water and the strong blue and white image emerges.
Paper Marbling: A method of aqueous surface design, which can produce patterns similar to smooth marble or other kinds of stone. The patterns are the result of colour floated on water and then carefully transferred to the absorbent surface of paper.
Both processes use water to create quick and fun prints.
