We were delighted to present Winter Wonder Wall 2024, showcasing artwork selected from all the creative work submitted over the year to the Online Gallery on Trapezium’s website. People were invited to send their creative endeavours and then these were uploaded to virtual galleries, available for anyone to view all year round.

Lauren Kelly, who curates the Online Gallery at Trapezium Arts said, “The response to our call out has been amazing. There is a huge range of work from traditional landscapes to digital collage; and from artists of different backgrounds and of all ages. We have welcomed work from professional artists and enthusiastic beginners alike because we want to be as inclusive as possible and really spread the message that art is for everyone. It is also an excellent opportunity of bringing people from the local artistic community together as we prepare to enter Bradford’s Year of Culture.”

Unfortunately the temporary space lease on our 58 Kirkgate Unit was terminated as we were setting up this exhibition.

As a volunteer Run Gallery we would not exist but for the affordability of a temporary space. The downside, though, is that we can loose our space at short notice, should a commercial enterprise wanted to take it over. Sadly this happened and we were therefore forced to run the exhibition for a shorter time than we wanted.

It was though an exceptional exhibition to end our time in our much loved space, before enbarking on our new incarnation two doors down at No 54!
